The COVID-19 health crisis is presenting challenges that are unprecedented in our lifetime. Our thoughts and well wishes are with everyone affected by COVID-19.

At The Highwayman Inn we have been carefully evaluating the situation, following Government guidance and listening to anybody that has an opinion. The safety of our customers, staff and suppliers is our first priority.

As a result we have implemented new procedures and policies over the last few weeks to take care of and ensure the safety of our people, our customers, and our community. We will take additional steps as this situation continues to evolve to help protect the health and safety of our customers. Our pub will be operating at a reduced capacity until further notice. This means we will follow procedures to insure the wellbeing of our community, including:

  • Create space for customers to have safe social distancing while they are served.
  • Operate at reduced hours, typically 12:00 – 14:00 and 18.00 till 20.00. Please call or email to check.
  • Not be hosting events to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.The best way we can serve our communities during this unusual time is to help protect them by not bringing them together in large numbers.
  • Continue to constantly evaluate the situation and evolve as needed.

Of course, customers are welcome to visit us until we are advised otherwise. We will start to offer a daily changing take away service and will deliver where necessary. Please call for details. We will of course help where there is a real need and will always consider allergens and dietary requirements. We will offer alcohol to take away as we can or as appropriate.

We are deeply committed to our valuable team and appreciate their support and the many messages we have received from both suppliers and customers.
